[Harp-L] Which harp?

Hi, Everybody!!

Well, I had just finished to customize one of my harps, in order to get all
the overbends. I am in my first attempts in this kind of work, so, of course
I committed a lot of mistakes and there are much to learn yet. But I´m sure
I´m on the right way... (I hope so)

What I found interesting is that I got all the overbends, except the -9
overdraw... And I did all that I could... When I close the gap, the draw
reed stops. If I open it, I can´t reach the overbend... A lot of air
leakage... Don´t know what to do...

I was wondering if one of the problems is the harp I am trying with...
Following the advice of 11 in 10 technicians, I started working out my
skills in an old instrument, no longer used, a Super 20 harp, by Hering. I
know there are some models better than others to overbend... I think Golden
Melodies are told to be the best... But, why? What makes a harp more
"overbendable"?
